We had a pretty busy week this week. Dan was out of town on Monday night. Wednesday night I had my girls night out and Dan happen to get tickets to the Chiefs game on Thursday night. So Dan headed to the stadium and I watched all the neighbor kids (4 + my 2).The neighbors had school functions that were for parents only so I was the only one who wasn't attending the elementary school orientation. Friday we played outside most of the afternoon and went for a long walk with the dogs and then had a cul de sac party with the neighbors before dinner. Vivian has been going all day today. Soccer this morning then shopping with mom for her leotard and tights for dance then playing outside all day. Both kiddos should sleep good tonight. Fingers crossed!! Henry has been waking up at 6:30 most days, which I'm not to thrilled about so maybe he will let us sleep in tomorrow unitl 7. Ha! Ha! Seems so crazy to say that 7 is sleeping in!
Dan is tackling a sodding project this weekend. We are having Jeremy, Jenn and Avery over for a BBQ on Saturday along with Dan Sutton and his new girlfriend, who we are all anxious to meet. Sunday we have another BBQ with a grade school friend of mine who lives here. She has a 6 year old and twin boys that are 2...her hubby played footbal for Iowa so he and Dan have plenty to talk about. They actually grew up in Harlen. We live in KC and are spending our weekend with all IA folks....small world :-) I am attempting to make "owl" cupcakes for Sunday so if they turn out good and if I ever figure out how to post a picture you will get to see them! It's a wonder I don't weigh significantly more due to my baking hobby! Thanks mom for that sweet tooth :-)
